Neurons

The parts of a neuron and their function:

Dendrites: The dentrites recieve messages from the other neurons and pass them down the axon.

The cell body: The neurons life support center.

Myelin Sheath: They cover the aon of ome neurons and they speed up the prosses of passing messages(neral impulses).

The axon: Passes messages fromt the detrites to other neurons, muscles or glands.

The terminal branches of axon: They form junctions to oter neurons so messages can be passed on.

The neural impulse: The electrical signal traveling through the neuron.
